Creating Modifiers: Complicated… or Not? #
Creating modifiers is often seen as one of the more challenging parts of POS setup. It involves multiple steps and careful mapping to ensure the right modifier triggers for the right item or product.

With Bizzfo, once you understand the logic, creating modifiers becomes a straightforward and repeatable process—and we’re here to walk you through it step-by-step.
Open the Hive #
Visit the Hive at https://hive.bizzfo.co.za/ and use your unique Username ad Password to sign in.
Modifiers and Recipes #
On the toolbar on the left side of the screen, navigate to the Briefcase Icon and select the Gears icon titled “Recipes and Modifiers“
Find the Item you would like to add a Modifier question to #
Once the screen opens, navigate the screen as follows:
- Click on “Find Items“.
- Click on the “Add All Items” button.
- Select the specific Item you would like to add a Modifier Question to.
- Hit the Plus (+) button to add the specific Item.
Once the above mentioned steps were taken, it will then direct you to the Edit/Create tab, where you will have to enter the desired details you would like to be on the Modifier.
Edit/Create the Modifier #
- Ensure that you are on the Modifiers tab, instead of the Recipe tab.
- In the space next to Question, is where you will enter the desired Modifier Question and thereafter hit the Add (+) button to add the question.
- Enter the Modifier Instruction in the space provided and hit the “Add Instruction” button for instruction to be added.
Push Updates to the Bizzfo Android POS (App) #
Once the aforementioned steps were done, you will then need to click on “Push Updates” for the information (Modifier) to be sent to the Bizzfo Android POS (App).
Once sent, open the Bizzfo Android POS (App) and test to see whether your modifier pulled through successfully. This will be applied to all the items you have selected at the beginning of these steps.
And there you have it! In a few Simple Steps, you have created a Modifier Question in the Hive and sent it to your App.
