The split nobody chose
Bookings came first, so you bought a booking app. Then the retail shelf needed a till, because the booking app could not really sell a bottle of conditioner. Two systems, bought months apart, each sensible on its own.
The result is that the business with the best customer data in retail — you know exactly who came in, what was done, by whom, and how often — cannot connect any of it to what they bought on the way out.
What the split costs you
Double entry at checkout. Your front desk looks up the appointment on one screen to clear the stylist's diary, types the price into a card terminal, then finds the product on a third system so stock stays right. It is slow, and clients can see it is slow.
Blind client profiles. If someone buys a moisturiser at your counter, that belongs in their booking profile. When it is not there, your therapists have no idea what the client uses at home — and the best moment to recommend the next thing passes unnoticed.
Running out of your best seller. Salon stock is expensive to hold, so it tends to get tracked loosely or on a spreadsheet. A client who wants to buy and finds an empty shelf does not wait; they order it online that evening, and now they have a new supplier.
Loyalty that nobody uses. If points come from services but not products, or the other way round, most clients never engage with it at all.
One client, one record
In Bizzfo, Bookings, POS and Loyalty sit on the same customer. Not linked — the same.
Online booking --> one client profile --> counter checkout
(Bookings) (Loyalty) (POS)
Checkout in seconds. Tap the finished appointment, scan the product, charge once. The appointment closes, stock drops, and the takings are right without anyone reconciling anything.
One history. Appointments, preferred stylist and every purchase — counter or online — against one person. Points accrue on the treatment and the shampoo together, because it was one visit.
Reminders on WhatsApp. Through Bizzfo Connect, confirmations and reminders go to the client's WhatsApp instead of a bulk-SMS bill, which is where most no-shows get prevented.
What it looks like on a Saturday
A client finishes a colour. At the counter you ring up the service and the two products she is taking home in one sale. Her loyalty balance updates on the total. You can see she normally comes in every five weeks, so you book the next slot before she leaves. Retail stock drops by two and the reorder report knows, without anyone counting a shelf.
None of that is clever. It is just what happens when the diary and the till are the same system.
Not only salons
The same shape fits anywhere bookings and retail live together: spas and wellness, barbers, tattoo studios, clinics with a dispensary, venues that sell merchandise — anywhere a booked slot and a product sale belong to one customer.
It starts at R450 per branch per month, VAT inclusive, with 15 days free on every new branch. Full detail on the pricing page.
